It consists of two departments: First Neurological Department for Diseases of the Autonomic Nervous System and Second Department for Epilepsy.
It is the only specialized neurological clinic in our country, which performs diagnostics and treatment of epilepsy, vegetative disorders, and other paroxysmal neurological conditions occurring with/without disturbances in consciousness: orthostatic hypotension, neurogenic syncope, vestibular syndromes and others.
The clinic also diagnoses and treats patients with diseases of the peripheral nervous system - radiculitis, plexitis, polyneuropathies; neurologically determined pain syndromes - back pain and disc disease, various forms of headache, atypical facial pain, neuralgias, neuritis; chronic vascular diseases of the nervous system; hereditary and degenerative neurological diseases and dementias.
The doctors at the clinic are proficient in various research methods in neurology and have additional qualifications in highly specialized activities: Doppler sonography (routine and with functional tests), electroencephalography, diagnostics of the autonomic nervous system: heart rate and blood pressure variability, orthostatic test with a lifting table, cold test, etc. The team applies complex diagnostics in close cooperation with other structures in the hospital.
The clinic is a base for conducting scientific research in various fields of neurology, training students, and doctors specializing in acquiring a specialty in neurology; for qualification in diagnostic methods in neurology - electroencephalography and Doppler sonography, participation in clinical studies.
The clinic employs 7 doctors - 6 with a specialty in neurology, of which 2 are associate professors in neurology, 2 chief assistants, one doctor with a specialty in ophthalmology, and 1 resident; 9 nurses, of which 1 is a senior nurse with a master's degree in healthcare management; 4 orderlies.
