Assoc. Prof. Iliana Alexandrova, MD is a specialist pediatric neurologist in Sofia with 15 years of medical experience and main interests in the field of childhood neurological diseases - epilepsy, autoimmune and degenerative diseases, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, headaches, etc.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexandrova, MD graduated from the Medical University of Sofia in 2010. She obtained her specialty in Pediatric Neurology in 2017. In 2016, she obtained the scientific and educational degree "doctor" after defending a dissertation on the topic: Idiopathic pediatric focal epilepsies.
She has a postgraduate qualification in Electroencephalography (EEG).
From 2011 to the present, Assoc. Prof. Alexandrova has worked as a pediatric neurologist at the Clinic for Nervous Diseases for Children at the St. Naum University Hospital.
From 2013 to 2017, she was an assistant physician, from 2017 to 2024 - chief assistant.
Since 2024, she has been an associate professor of neurology at the Department of Neurology of the Medical University of Sofia, based at the Clinic for Neurological Diseases for Children, St. Naum University Hospital.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alexandrova, MD has participated in numerous national and international congresses and conferences in neurology and pediatric neurology, as well as in training courses in pediatric neurology.
She is the author and co-author of about 100 articles, 30 oral presentations and 150 posters in the field of pediatric neurology.
He is a member of the Bulgarian Medical Union, the Bulgarian Society of Neurology, the Scientific Society of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychology of Child Development, the Society Against Epilepsy, and the European Society of Child Neurology.
